Ok I have followed the guide (to the letter) to split BHD Disk 1 into 2 DVDs and got two disks about 4.1G and 4.2G
I then use Prassi to burn the first disk and it only burns about 800meg and says disk completed successfully - DUH!!!
I repeated the split at a slightly different point just in case there might be something I missed and still Prassi burns just 800meg
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Sounds to me like your burning software thinks you're burning to CDR and not DVDR. I doubt it has anything to do with your authoring at all. Actually, what you're doing isn't really authoring anyway so I'm going to move your question to the DVD Burning forum.

Have you ever successfully burned a data DVD more than 800 megs?
In prassi look at the drive/disc properties for the burner you have. it should tell you what kind of media its detecting.

Open the main *.ifo file in IfoEdit and Adjust the VTS Sectors,
this should solve your Problem.

it gets more interesting...
tried to burn disk2 of the main title split and it still wants to burn 800meg so there must be something telling it to do this - a new protection scheme perhaps??
btw just done panic room no probs

I say splitting movies across multiple discs sucks anyway but that's just a personal opinion. hehe :)

jAyVId,
I had the same problem with a DVD-5 movie (Friday the 13th Part 3), Prassi would burn around 800megs and finish. Never could get it to work, after wasting too many discs, I switched to Nero and have had ZERO problems :)
