View Full Version : How to display Playstation2 on laptop thru firewire (via S-video)?

I have got a PS2 at the moment, with a S-Video out cable, that I would like to be able to play on my laptop screen (got a Vaio with a very nice 16" TFT).

It has USB and firewire on it. Is there some sort of firewire capture card that I could use, which would display the PS2 on the laptop screen? I dont need to save it to disk, just display the stream on screen. Obviously latency is an issue here - having any sort of significant lag on a game would be very undesirable.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for the links. Does anyone know if either of those boards can do exactly what I need? Do they have a mode where they just display all the information straight to screen, without capturing to hard disk?
