I got several XviD DVDrip recently, they are all A/V insync during playback. Did anybody have the same experience ? I guess it's because that the XviD version I used to play the movie is different from the version which is used to encode the movie. Is that correct ? I checked both the A/V length, they are the same. If it's only a problem of one movie, I would expect something wrong with the movie, but there are several movies. If somebody knew thew reason and the solution, please give me a hint.

Thank you very much !

in sync = desynced? There's a huge difference between the two.

It's possible that the versions are conflicting. Try ffdshow for your playback decoder. It's a nice uniform decoder that will decode any version.

"i got several dvdrips"...

I don't support piratery. Maybe the movie industry put the movies in the net that way to make the people stop leeching pirated stuff.

Maybe the "releases" you leeched are simply bulls**t as the encoder (the person, not the software) messed terribly up (can happen. We have at least 1 oversized ego and self-made "ripper/releaser" [who insist on anandub btw ;) ]).

Ah, maybe i confused you:
my point is, rip the movie yourself. Then you know what went wrong.
