multilanguage ripping and encoding

Don't know if anybody can help me on this, but I have life is beautiful on the harddrive, and when trying to create a project, or during the preview, the opening scenes repeat one after another, for example it shows the opening titles in english, then the same but in italian, and so on. Is there a way to eliminate this problem?

Based on your problem description, it sounds like your "rip" ... the dvd to harddrive process ... was flawed. I may be wrong, of course, but it seems the most likely problem.

DVD .vob files contain multiple streams -- multiple languages or sound tracks, multiple subtitiles, and sometimes, multiple video streams, typically called "angles". A couple of common uses for multiple angles, as examples ... 1) to have both a theatrical release and "director's cut" on the same disc, or 2) to have credits available in multiple languages.

You appear to be playing back the video frames in order on the .vob, and, while I don't have that particular DVD, it seems like example 2 was used, and the different language credits are sequential in the .vob, though the program chains should be selecting only the video, subtitles, and sound for a single version of the film.

You should use a ripper that allows you to extract a single "angle" from the appropriate program chain on the .vobs, and its matching audio and subtitle streams. If you've read through Doom9's guides, you'll find he often recommends SmartRipper in "Movie" mode, which will automatically select Angle 1 of the longest program chain in the .vob set.
