I am using the guide at www.dvd2dvdr.com for ripping a movie to a DVD-R.

If I have to re-encode a movie, I am using the CCE Method.

So my basic process is Smartripper - DVD2AVI - CCE - PULLDOWN - IFOEDIT and then Burn

When I do a 16:9 movie I am ending up with a squished 4:3 movie and I am not sure why.

In DVD2AVI it reports the movie as a 16x9
When in CCE I select 16x9 Ratio
Now according to the dvd2dvdr guide it tells me to select the aspect ratio of 1:1 in Pulldown. Should I be choosing 16:9 there also?

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know..

Thanks

check the movie ifo (VTS_01_0.IFO)if thats the movie vts
top half of screen left click VTSI_mat
on bottom screen scroll down to 00000200 VIDEO ATRRIBUTES
look down at aspect ratio should say 16:9
hope this helps if its 4:3
double click on video attributes select 16:9 box and auto letterbox

I am sorry, you completely lost me

Where would I do these things?

Note: I did try the 16:9 selection on Pulldown today and it seemed like it worked great. I have a 16x9 and it filled it nicely with no squishing of any sort. However.. it was missing a little bit of the picture around the borders. Almost like it was zoomed in a little bit

It sounds like REECYCUP wants you to open the IFO in IfoEdit, and then make the change he described.
