View Full Version : Unable to write to Y: Drive

I'm getting the error message when I start conversion of "Unable to write to Y:". I've used mapped network drives before, but I'd rather use my local drive. I can't find any setting in DVD2SVCD to change. None of the folder locations on any of the tabs point to Y:

Any ideas?

Is there something unclear in my post? For what it's worth, here's my log file:

Have you tried to set the default output folder on the misc tab?

No, there is nothing unclear, but now we can see what file it wants to write. Please post your log always when having problems.
By default the DVD2SVCD.ini is in the same folder as the DVD2SVCD.exe
Did you start your DVD2SVCD from the Y-Drive? Is this drive a read-only, like CDROM or did you map it read-only?
If yes, the error is because DVD2SVCD can't write its ini-file.
If not, did you changed any folder-settings like mark asked?
Also it's better to update to Version 1.1.0b1b, because some small errors are fixed in this version. (although I doubt this will fix your problem)

I now believe you _should_ update.

Setting the default output folder appears to have worked. Thanks.
