Greetings. Please someone offer some advice because I am feeling really stupid right now.
Here's what I got. I have an interlaced (true 29.76) source. I use DVD2AVI with FF turned off to create the project and then a decomb filter to server it to CCE.
I end up with a beautiful mpv which is ready for pulldown. Create mpa and I add this to Maestro. It plays fine.
The audio is the problem. I realized that having the video go from 29.76 to 23.976 FPS would require some work on the audio. Here is what I tried:
#1: Took the AC3 file from DVD2AVI and used AC3 Delay Corrector to remove a -33ms delay. Then used BESweet to convert from 29.76 to 23.976 (preset).
result: This created a synced audio package BUT the audio was s..l..o..w.. (actors didn't sound right, etc)
#2: Read about using FF on with DVD2AVI to create audio which made sense so I tried that. Used the AC3 Delay Corrector to fix delay as above.
result: Audio sounded right but sync was WAY off and got worse as video went on.
I feel stupid because I did a search of everything I could think of and everywhere no one mentions how to get the audio back in sync (like everyone is born knowing this). I would appreciate any help or thoughts you may have.
Thanks for your help and, if you are in America, Happy Turkey Day!
