TMPG convertion problem HELP

Can someone help me please. I converted lot of VCD's using VirtualDab and TMPG, from Avi or Divx to VCD.
Here is my problem, WHY all of a sudden I'm trying to convert an Avi file which is around 350meg to MPEG using TMPG Templates and the file is around 1.2 gig. Tried converting other movies and still the same problem.

Check the sound. If you can't hear anything, then it's VBR. I noticed if you try to open a vbr mp3 audio in tmpgenc, it'll come out a lot larger than what it's supposed to be. Just open in virtualdub, set the audio to pcm uncompressed and do save as wav.
