Hi, I was wondering if there are any effective filter/filter chains that can get rid of mosquito noise from the DVD source, without washing out too many details from the rest of the picture.

a) unfilter.dll:

Unfilter(-15,-15) should work wonders.

b) search function:

you heard of it? we had a thread (or more) that had nearly the same name some weeks/months ago. Dig it up with the search function, and you won't see me comlaining about your lazyness ;)
Btw., you still want to search that thread as there were some more effective ways to achieve that goal.

From what I could find, these filters are good?

Undot
Msmooth

I'll try it out later.

UnDot works very well in the YV12 color space. I've seen a few people place it in the scripts more than once to increase the effect. IMHO it seems to give better results placing it after resize.

Thanks for the tip! I was using it before resizing...
