I'm sorry if this was brought up somewhere but I couldn't find anything on this matter on this forum doing a search.
I put a guide on my site regarding how to author with IFOEdit. One person posted on a different forum that he was missing the last 20 minutes of the movie. I started asking him questions and it turned out that the entire movie was there, BUT it when he played it, it was still 20 minutes short. I figured it was just his equipment until it happened to me.
First it happened with the Episode II disk. The movie should have been 2 hours and 22 minutes, but it was something like an 1 hour and 53 minutes. Yet the entire movie from what I can gather is there. Since I had to re-encode the disk I thought it might have been CCE or pulldown that screwed up somewhere.
Then just now I backed up my copy of MIB II which didn't need re-encoding and I experienced the same thing. Even in the PGC it states in the original that its 1 hour and 28 minutes and the new IFO is 1 hour and 11 minutes. I haven't watched it yet since it was burning as I write this but I suspect it will be like the others and nothing will be missing. Any ideas on this?
Just to let you know, I ripped the DVD with Smartripper used vobedit to get the subs, yanked the celltimes and then authored. I didn't anything special. The Star wars DVD was done on a P4 2Ghz machine,and MIB II was done on an Athlon 1.2 Ghz machine.
