Hi,
I have been given a company promotional video on DVD in NTSC format which I need to convert to give to people to run on their PCs.
I have already managed to rip the DVD to DivX at a high quality, but I don't want to have to install the DivX codec on all the PCs so the punters can view the film.
What I would like to do is take the DivX '.avi' file and convert it to an video stream (mpeg/avi) which can be played on a standard Windows XP build. This will save me loads of work/grief!
I have tried to convert the file with TMPGEnc.exe but this application reports the wrong film length, putting several minutes of black screen on the end. It also fails to put the audio on the converted file, so there is no sound at all.
Please can someone advice me on a simple and effective way of converting this DivX file to a more common format.
Thanks for your help!
Cheers, Dak.
