I just wanted to strut for a minute and also thank everyone for answering my questions in helping me make my first DVD!
My wife wanted to get a professional to record our wedding but I talked her into us buying a DV camera instead. I told her that the camera would be much less than paying a professional and that at the end we would have the camera too. Well, one thing led to another with the Firewire card and then of course a DVD burner (New Sony!)
It took a couple of months but I finally edited all the video, encoded and compiled my project and burned to DVD last night. It turned out great!!! I think what I ended up with is much better than if I would have hired a professional. Granted I almost pulled my hair out at times trying to get certain things to work but I feel I have gotten over the learning curve. There is still much to learn and improve but now it is easy. *Knock on wood*
