OS: Windows XP SP1, DirectX 8.1 (tryed 9.0 beta too)
When I open DV type 2 video in Windows Media Player 8 then it plays with "half resolution" by default, to solve this problem I did following: Tools/Options/Performance/Advanced/Digital Video Set to Large.
Now DV video plays with Full resolution in Windows Media Player. Opened the very same file in Adobe Premier 6.02 and it shows me it with "half resolution". For testing purposes I made some chnages and exported timeline to movie (DV), opened that file with Windows Media Player 8, I thought Premier would render video with half resolution too, but Windows Media Player played good video (Full resolution). Then I thought that Adobe Premier preview done with default DV "half resolution". I was unable to find settings anywhere to make premier to preview full resolution DV files. I found registry chnages done to Windows 2000 by Windows Media Player 6 when you configure it to play DV files with Full resolution:
Half resolution
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\DirectShow\DVDecProperties]
"PropDisplay"=dword:000003e8
Full resolution
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\DirectShow\DVDecProperties]
"PropDisplay"=dword:000003e9
Applyed "PropDisplay"=dword:000003e9, and Adobe Premier makes preview with Full resolution.
Do you know other solutions to my problem? Any ideas?
