Please Help. I'm tired of trying out different program to convert DVD to Avi or Divx. Can someone please tell me which is the best program to use
1. BackupDVD Pro Ver1
2. DVDx
3. Fairuse
4. SimpleDivx (New)
5. Vidomi
6. GordianKnot
7. DVD2SVCD
I tried them all but was not satisfied beside Fairuse which I found gave me the best results. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Andy

12) How NOT to post on this forum:
Do not ask "what's best" because this question cannot be answered objectively. Each and everyone has their own view about what's best in a certain area. The best is what works best for you!
But anyways, you asked:
Use wordpad. You can edit each bit via the well know abrviations with ALT+[hit number on the keypad]. It needs a bit of training since you have to respect the swapped byte order on x86-systems, but after 2 movies coded that way you definatly know what you're doing.
It would help if you make yourself some tables with most-common vectors+combinations as they're usually stored in non-byte borders, so that you don't have to calculate too much.
In this scenario I wouldn't do 2pass encoding though, as you're mostly doing double work - but since when can a computer optimize as good as a human? For perfect transcodes you need to do that.
Btw., find some common texture tables at http://www.find-best-textures.com/ , they even have S3TC-compressed textures!
I hope this helps ;P
What's-Best regards,
