Just installed this new version of the great program. There is just one little detail - it is impossible to use. Whether it is my Graphic card Matrox 450 (1024x768)or somewhat else - I am not to tell, but a great deal of the windows with all their options at the bottom part of the window is invisible - hidden and hence the program is impossible to use. Maybe I have missed something, maybe there is a new version - I do not know - or is it just happening to me? I have run the previous versions on several PC:s under Win2k and 98 and never had any problem - with the very same Matrox 450. Can anyone give me a clue - or is it just some evil magic going on inside my PC??Sorry to bother you, really like this prog but had to reinstall the old one immeditaley.

Next time, try to state some idea of what your problem is in the subject.
It's not a problem inherent with a known-to-be-good Matrox card.
I'm using Matrox 450 with latest drivers and have no GUI problems with DVD2SVCD.

I am not really shure about what you are aiming at, but I think I quite clearly stated what my problem is. I cannot see the lower third of the window. The window is shrimped and hides a lot of options. Since this problem according to previous authors of other progs were related to Matrox Millennium cards I just took a wild guess. I am sorry for that.
Since the older versions worked great I thought maybe it was due to some changes in the new GUI. Since this is an open forum I was hoping to get some quick response that maybe pointed out som major mistake I had done or some clue concerning the hardware. Well I am running a Win2k, Matrox G450, 2,53 GHZ Pentium 4, Asus Motherboard PT4. And as said earlier, this came up the very first time I started this new prog. Sorry again if I bother you with maybe some very foolish matter. Just maybe someone knows what is wrong.

If we were back in the old Windows 3.1 days, I would think you are perhaps using some sort of "large" system font, thus messing up button sizes and resulting in incorrectly diplayed windows.
I don't have a Matrox currently installed, so I can't check myself ... again, just a wild guess.

GreenDrazi was aiming at your subject which is just "DVD2SVCD 1.1.0 b 1", its very non-descript and thats against forum rules. Next time just try to give a small description of your problem in your subject. And have you tried the b1a update? It says it fixed something like that.
12 nov 2002 version 1.1.0 build 1a
- Bug fix: When using large fonts in windows some of the controls in dvd2svcd wasn't shown, fixed.

What he is trying to say is we have rules at doom9 one of them which is to have a short description of the problem in your title. You didn't do that and he was saying next time follow the rules. It's not easy to follow rules all the time and then come to a post like yours and see that you didn't follow them so next time keep that in mind.
As Smiller667 stated sounds to me like your font size is to large so why dont you go in to windows and make sure. Were not a windows support page tho so if you don't know how to change this you need to go on google and do a search.

I see. Sorry about that. And you are perfectly right! I installed the update and it was just a miracle. It works great. I was foolish enough to think the update was for earlier versions of the prog, that is why I did not install it. And appearently there were something funny with the basic packet, fixed in the update. Again, sorry to bother you and thanks for your tip.

I am shure there are wonderful things to be discovered and found on Google but I am perfectly aware of my "Big Font" option in Windows. Though I am a Windows teacher I did not realize the connection and have to thank you for your very nice education. I must add though that it is not just a Windows problem but an issue for all progs written for that OP. I think the very good update points this out. But off course, thank you for your lesson. I have got a new view on the matter and since everything works nicely now I am very happy about that. ;-)
