I found a downloadable and a serial # for this software, but i've yet to make a descent mpeg with it. The audio/video sync is really off whether you check "sync" or not.

I get errors and haven't found the documentation as to exactly what they mean... "Warning VBV delay overflows = 474" or similar errors.

Anyone got any clues?

for starters DVDx isnt shareware/commercial etc. its free. obviously you have gotten one of those packs (like dvdcopy plus) which contain freeware programs and charge you for a guide. you should have done more reading.

try frameserving (the prefered method for speed and quality) to another program like Tmpgenc etc rather than use the fallback (as in only for if you cant get anything else to work) internal encoder.

dont expect a lot of help posting that you "found a serial number". this is not that type of board.

I wasn't bolstering about getting the software free! As i do with other software, I try it out and if it works i PURCHASE it.

I was simply asking for a little help understanding what i might be doing wrong. Sorry if I offended anyone.
