i followed the simple dvd2dvdr guide, and everything worked fine, but when i come to import the 2 files which i have renamed to the same name ie movie.m2v and movie.ac3 it will not import the ac3 but does the movie fine any1 got any ideas??

Do you have a fully working copy of spruceup.I don't think the demo version allows importing ac3 audio files.Can someone confirm that!!

Too long since I used SpruceUp to confirm that 100%, but it's utterly plausible because Spruce couldn't allow .ac3 compatibility for free, cos of the licensing fees which would have been owed to Dolby Laboratories. I can only recall this being stated by Spruce with regard to the included Syzygy software DVD Player, but it may have included the application itself. Other people on this forum use SpruceUp regularly so they'll be better placed to confirm, or disconfirm.

no its definately not the demo version, has worked when using smartripper to demux sound and video, spruce up will import it, but using the dvd2dvd method it wont!!

You say it won't import the .ac3 audio file right? Does it crash? I had the same problem and it would crash on me. I finally realized that I had ripped the subtitles also and spruceup aparently doesn't like subtitles mixed in with the .ac3 file. Hope that helps... The way I had to get around it was to rip the video and then rip the audio individually.
