Vob_ID

just wondering if there is anyone here who knows how to put the vob id back into a remuxed (smaller)vob so that it contains the original id's that were in the original vob....

Use VobEdit, Demux the VOB again and you'll end up with files:

VTS_0?_001.VOB, VTS_0?_002.VOB, VTS_0?_003.VOB etc.....

Let's say you want to stick it in between Id 2 & 3 above. So you rename all the files after that point one higher than they are:

VTS_0?_003.VOB becomes VTS_0?_004.VOB
VTS_0?_004.VOB becomes VTS_0?_005.VOB etc...

Then put the VOBId/File you want to put in there in to the same directory but rename it VTS_0?_003.VOB. Then go to the 'Edit' drop down menu and select 'Join Clips'. Save as the VOB file you wish and enter '1' for the 'First VOB-ID' when asked for it.

I understand now i will give it a try.
do you think i will have to setup the celltimes as well when i have reduced the size of each vob?

I think IfoEdit is supposed to take care of that.

no ifoedit did not fix this the complete movie was a disaster the chapters were all at the wrong places and for some reason there were 2 chapters that would not play:confused: i can back the movie up which is not a problem but i want to keep it the same as original which is the problem, but i will keep doing it until i become an old and weary man lol..
