16 bit?!

When I encode my files, they always come out as Video Sample Size: 16 bit. (Right click on file, go to properties.) Nothing seems to work. Any ideas? I want them in 24bit btw.

I figured out the problem. It seems that it was Nic's binaries. When I got Koepi's it worked fine.

It's just a number stored in the .avi file. It will not affect quality in any way, just create complications when appending files.
