I really don't know where to post so I create the thread here (sorry if it's not the right place).
Few month ago while browsing on some board, I had follow a link to an alternative sound blaster driver for win32
this driver seemed perfect but i didn't test it.
If someone know such a think please help me and give me the link.

Creative drivers suck. My computer hangs when I try to shutdown with my new asus a7v333.
Thank you; you reminded me about kx drivers and now I can shutdown the computer. ;)

Well, i have some crash-experiences (always when music play) and syncing problems with movies (just sometime the movie go really fast, when a man, for example right now wals, it looks like he sprint for a half second or such - interesting bug! - the same happen on DVDs and its not related to DivX version, config or such - with FFD filters it happens too...)
So, i always know, that the soundblaster drivers are the enemy.
But i stick with the old ones i get on CD, because the new ones does VERY unpleasant thing - when i change resolution (Quake, CS, or just windows desktop resolution) - the music mutes for a second or so
So, the old ones hardly click (well, they click to the sound, but that it is!), so...
These KXPROJECT ones - how they react, when you, for example, switch a resolution...?
Any problems or diferences between these and the regular ones, except harder instalation - seems from www site...???
Please, tell me more! ;) :)

Ok here is my report:
Marvelous drivers,
just amazing is what can be done,(actually, i've got a 4.0 speaker systeme, so Via the drivers, i downmixed 5.1 to 4.0, And i set the Subwoofer/center Output to be a dowmixed 5.1 to 2.0 for my HeadPhone ;)! GREAT!)
very low CPU usage compared to creative drivers (I had trouble with winamp when using some badcoded software like kazaa, no more now!)
But: with my SB Live 5.1!
I've got some probleme to make SPDIF out working, it works for PowerDVD but not for Bsplayer,MPC and other (Tryied both with Moonlight Odio Dekoda and valex's AC3 filter)
I just intalled the drivers 2hours ago, so I keep you aware of issue with spdif.
EDIT: Ok to play AC3,Actually I can't use SPDIF output, and I need to force 'Kx wave 5.1' audio render instead of default direct sound renderer in graph edit to make thing's well.
So I told Bsplayer to use 'Kx wave 5.1' audio render ;)

I have only oldie 2 speaker system, toughti thinking about upgrade to 5+1 system
...anyone else with a good experience with these drivers?
And pls, DONT use kazaa, its a crap. WinMX simply rules! :D ;) :p
