Resolutions

Guys,

Just got this program which lets me convert dvd to divx in several easy steps call DVD-Ripp.(its a french one translated to english)

I am ok with most of the settings except the resolution,i get a choice
of the following....

Full Res 720x320
High Res 640x288
Mean Res 576x256
Low Res 512x224

I have converted a film using the Full Res option but found it lacked picture quality.I then used High and found the picture quality alot better but the file size of the two cd rip were 436mb (CD1) and 396(CD2). ?? I set it to 1400mb two cd rip with the splitting option enabled.
My question is...what is the rip going to be like if i use Mean or Low????? did i use the wrong resolutions in the first place when i started doing this??. I picked the program up from www.divx-digest.com under the automatic section.

Any Ideas??

Is your question in reference to DVD Ripp, or DVD2SVCD? If you want help with a ripper that's not supported by D2S, I don't know if you can get it here, guess we'll see.
