DVD Decrypter 3.1.4.0 burns coaster on Choice 2x (blue top)

I upgraded a week ago to DVD decrypter 3.1.4.0 and yesterday I got 200 DVDR media and I started to burn a few DVDR movies on to them. But I realise it didn't work after I have burned them. Only my burner will reconize them and my DVD drive wouldn't not see them. So I was pretty lost. Then I burned a Bulkpaq 1x medie with DVD decrypter 3.1.4.0 and it worked just fine. So I started to think that my choice 2x migth be crap. But then remember that I have upgraded from 3.1.3.0 to 3.1.4.0. I then tried to fint 3.1.3.0 on my HD, but it was gone only 3.1.2.0 was there and I tried it on my choice 2x and it worked great afterward. My DVD drive and my Standalone DVD player plays it just fine to the end of the disk.

So I realize that the software can also be baricade when people are burning coasters. Don't know what you change or anything. But I will try to find DVD decrypter 3.1.3.0 or stick to my old 3.1.2.0. Because the new one is PURE CRAP ON CHOICE 2x media.

But again, its a great tool.


Anyone got a link to version 3.1.3.0. can't find it anywere ?

Nothing related to burning on dvd-r changed between those versions so Im a little confused as why thats happening. My guess is that is was just a fluke. Ive seen mixed posts on www.mediaforums.net about that media and it being good/awful. The success rate seems pretty low with it.

I have 3.1.3.0 if you really want to give it a go.

It might be an idea to check things out properly before you go shouting your mouth off about new versions.

sorry if I sound ruff or anything, was not meant to. It just that I reinstalled XP today and run DVD decrypter 3.1.4.0 on it and my DVDR movies was bad afterwards (I tryed 10 choice 2x on it and all where bad). I then installed 3.1.2.0 and I have now burned 10 choice 2x (from the same spindel) and they are all working great. I have in my time burned over 100 of these using 3.1.3.0 and 3.1.2.0

So I have VERY difficult to see why its not version 3.1.4.0.

Don't think that I that lucky that the media change on spindel at the same time I install another version of dvd decrypter.


But I´m very interessting in version 3.1.3.0. If you can hook me up with a link to it (just pm me the link). Thanks.

I'll tell you what it might be....3.1.2.0 didnt set the speed at which the burner should burn.
Now im not sure what it would default to - 1x or 2x.
Perhaps that functionality is producing coasters.
I can assure that nothing else has been changed. Come to think of it, nothing would make any difference anyway. You burn a sector and thats all there is to it! You cant really do it wrong.
Do you really think dvd decrypter cares about the media you have inserted?! Why should it work on one disc and not another?! Unlike some other programs, DVD Decrypter doesnt rely on a database of drives and supported media. It just burns according to the MMC3 Standard.
If the disc cannot be read back, its down to your burner / reader / media.
