Sites linking my binary & I can't reach:

Hi mates,

there are several boards around the world which seem to support (anime) ripping and therefore link directly to my (not anymore existant) binaries, and unfortunately I'm incapable of reading/writing japanese/chinese/korean so I can't ask them to just link to http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/ .
The reason is simple: those sites link to e.g. xvid-22052002-1.exe ... those binaries don't exist anymore, and the users there are really nice and setup their download managers to hammer ~5-10 times a second on the target...

I'm really tired of this criminal behaviour (stealing bandwidth, producing work - and that all without compensation - I don't know how long it'll last until my university cuts my line because excessive traffic due to this) and would like to ask you for help and contact those people/moderators to just link to my site, I've nothing against announcements of new binaries there, but _no direct linking_ - it doesn't work anyways because the referer check is quite strict.

Those wankers link to my ftp section which I had to remove public access from since then. Feel free to give them animal names ;)

(I'll edit this list when other sites show up in my logs again, they sometimes don't show up for ~6hours!)

Hi,
I never tried to admin a webpage, but I think this solution would be possible: whenever someone tries to download a missing file xvid*exe, he gets the file - but it's a short text file saying where should he go to download newest binaries.

I understand that most people will just try to run it and get an error, but whatever - not your problem, while all download managers are happy that they've completed their task.

Just an idea, don't ask me how to do this

I know some people who speak Chinese and someone who knows some Korean, I'll try to get in touch with them and see what they can do about posting a message. I can speak Japanese but unfortunately, while my general message might come across if I just used Kanji (haha) it probably wouldn't be very effective.
