First off I want to make backups of dvd to be viewed on a HDTV widescreen, so I would like as much quality as I can get, please tell me what is the best way to achieve this.
Now for my problem.....I have divided and ripped, everything went well there....now when in IfoEdit v0.91 at the point where you process the VOB files I get this error "No Navigation-pack found in VOB files" any thoughts?
BTW....great forum! While waiting for my 5 days to post I have been reading the post and there is no doubt this is the place to get help!
Thanx Guys!

dont try and strip vob id 1 , it contain nav packs , however to get the best quality dont re-encode the movie ( put it on two discs), however I have had probs doing this with IfoEdit using vob extra's button , to get round this I have used Ifoedit to Create the Ifo files I have needed, I done this in two directories , open up Ifoedit and select create IFO's , then select the first vob file u require and it will do the rest , dont forget to get vts sectors at the end , and spread the vob files over the two directories and in the second rename the vob file to be vts_01_1.vob & vts_01_2.vob etc, dont forget to get vts sectors in the second directory , I hope this make sense ;)

Coaster, what size is the movie your trying to back-up? Anything under 4.37gb and you can basiclly get 1 to 1 quality. In DVD decrypter (in file mode), select and rip "all" files from your source dvd, use IFOedit to "get vts sectors" (be sure to do the command twice, or you might run into problems from time to time), and burn the movie. Read and follow the guides, the information within is excellent.
