User Prohibitions

I am making the original trilogy of Star Wars on DVD using Scenarist. My root menu for vts_1 is an animated menu. I would like to set a user prohibition so that this animated (video) menu can't be fast forwarded.

Extra Info: I compiled my entire project once without the user prohibition and gave it a test drive. If i press fast forward during the root menu play, it fast forwards and then if stop the fast forwarding my highlight layer disappears for the rest of the duration of the menu.

How can I set the user prohibition?

The user operation prohibitions can be accesssed from the Property Browser window (bottom center) whenever a PGC is selected in the Scenario Editor.

Select the PGC of the menu in question and look in the property window, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a folder icon with UOP next to it. Double-click on that icon and the entire list of user prohibitions/permissions will appear. I believe the one you want is UOP9 (forward scan). Just select "prohibited" from the drop-down box on the right.

I don't believe this is mentionned in the manual, I just happened to find it by exercising the GUI to death ;) :p
