Can anyone recommend a reliable source for 2X DVD-R. Its getting expensive for me trying out all these crap disks out there.
I bought a 25 pack from ESPricewatch and of the 10 that I have tried, 3 failed to even write the leadin and 7 burnt to completion but none play all the way through on 3 different standalones.

This is the info on those

I see from the threads that others have had trouble with these also.
Previously I had ordered their 1X disks and those worked well, even with labels on them. The info on those was

I have just ordered Meritline brand 1X and 2X disks. The 1X disks are dark purple and the 2X disks are light purple. The above TDK disks I had so much trouble with were also light purple and the Riteks were dark purple. I do not have access to ADVinfo at the moment so cannot be more specific, but do the dark purple disks perform better?. Are there dark purple 2X disks?. Can anyone recommend a good source of cheap reliable 2X disks?
