hi!
koepi and syskin: thanks for your effort to make qpel and bframes work!!
i just encoded some clips with the latest instant build / koepis latest build and i get some artifacts when using qpel me and bframes together. please take a look at the attached screenshot. this is not a decoding problem!
i also noticed that about 10% of the frames get quantd higher with bframes+qpel than with just bframes. psnr instead seems to be better with qpel. better psnr means more precisely estimated mvs. why is the avg. quant higher with qpel?
i know you do your best to solve these problems...
