Hi there,

Can anyone suggest a way of extracting (in the correct format) the video and audio from a Divx 5 Avi files so that I place these into maestro to author onto dvd-r?

I presume I need to convert the avi file to an m2v and an audio file?? Maybe using virtual dub or something - I really am a bit lost with that

Any help would be really appreciated

Regards

Ian

a few weeks back i took some of my divx movies and converted them to dvd format... I used Virtual Dub. First I saved the audio...as wav function then i changed the extension to .ac3( most all my divx movies had ac3 audio) Then i saved the video as a separate video file.

After that i used avisynth to change the resolution to the proper dvd format and served it to CCE. I then did a pulldown to correct the framerate.

Used Maestro to author then burn.

ps...dont remember the thread, but there is one posted that has a script u can use for avisynth to fix resolution...If i find it i will post it for u.
