Make a menu in a svcd

how can i make a menu into a svcd , at the same as dvd
when i choice play that the movie starts?

Are you using DVD2SVCD?

This isn't possible with DVD2SVCD, and if you aren't using this program, I'll gladly move your topic to a better location.

There is no automatic way to convert a dvd menu to svcd using dvd2svcd. There are a few threads in this forum explaining how to achieve it manually, and RadicalEd has written a guide describing one possible way ... http://www.angelfire.com/anime3/airanime/guide/guide.html.

You may have to search this forum a bit to obtain more info about making non-animated or animated menu. There's other threads discussing of how to create animated menu with AviSynth or Adobe Premiere as well.

Sorry, this is a work in progress. I haven't finished most of the vcdeasy part, but there are other guides which pretty much cover that. As far as I know all the pictures in the rest of guide should load.

Well RadicalEd I didn't make the guide for you. Last time I checked there is more than one way to author a SVCD with menu's and I actually think our guides are quite different. What's wrong with having multiple guides for the same process?

If you must know, I did the guide because someone specifically requested that I make one. I figured it wouldn't hurt to post the url since it seemed on point with this guy's question.

andybno1: I'm smack dab in the middle of finals. I will definitely finish the guide soon but until then, the vcdeasy section is unfinished and most of the pictures won't load. I plan on extending the guide to cover some more advanced options including authoring with I-Author and WinOnCd, and making motion chapter selection menu's with Adobe After Effects or Avisynth.

Just try one first. If you think it's good for you, stay with it, unless you need to do something superior than that method can do :D

cheers adam, only prob I'm finding is the loading time. I know its cause you did it in word, word is the devils tool when it comes to doing webpages (no offence to you adam)

None taken. This is the first guide, or web page for that matter, that I have ever made. With my limited knowledge, it was Word or nothing.
