Need advice on best DVR+ or DVD- EXTERNAL burner

Im in the US & i religiously follow the Doom9 guides. What external DVD burner should i get. Dont care if it is DVD+R or DVD-R. I want 1 that will work when i follow the Doom9 DVD guides. Thx.

I have been using the hp DVD200e (external +RW/+R - USB 2.0 and 'firewire') for a couple of weeks and I'm pretty happy with it. Successfully burned both +RW and +R using the Doom9 DVD guides.

Plan to check out the new Sony external and see how that works.

got the sony dx500 external dvd burner for US$324. fantastic. burns most DVD-R w/o coasters. the only media it doesnt recognize is Memorex DVD-RW. no problems with any other media incl cheap ones from Rima (Ritek).
