Hi,

Before you say anything, I know this has been covered before in the forum, but the advice given was to use force film (but I am not encoding NTSC movie), or to re install the latest version of BeSweet, which I have done, but still have the same problem, as you can see from my log.

I am backing up a copy of Black Hawk Down which I am encoding by chapters, the 1st svcd went fine, but I can't remember if it was done before I downloaded the new build. What happens is the audio plays too slowly for the movie so that by the time the titles come up, people are still talking (very slowly). There is a setting "audio delay -128ms" could this be the culprit?

Any suggestions?, I am having lots of different troubles with the new build and am considering going back to 1.0.9 b3, but am reluctant to give up so easily.

Just realized that I only re-processed the audio from an existing bad extraction, so I started from scratch again and it did the same thing. I am currently trying with a copy of 1.0.9. b3, I still had on a program backup cd. Will post whether this works ok or not.

Just so you're not too lonely, I'm having a similar problem of the audio being too l-o-n-g and
D E E P.

I'm newbie so can only give the spymptoms. I've been very pleased with two rips (I only want the final mpg file to play on computers, am not doing the burning process to play on a standalone player), but have subsequently had the same problem as you.
I'm using NTSC DVD's bought in Japan, which are 42minute documentaries. The subtitles ripped fine too. Then, for some reason, with subsequent rips, the same problem as you. The final file that TMPGenc makes has stretched to 50 minutes. It doesn't seem to be TMPGenc's fault because when I play the individual files (sound and video) intermediate to encode, it's them that are stretched.

I don't supposed this has helped you at all, other than to know someone else is experiencing the same thing, and I'm still (vainly) searching the forum to see if it's dealt with.

Well, I kind solved my problem, after about 3 re-encodes starting from scratch, I decided to check the ripped vob.'s themselves, and sure enough, they were running slowly too! So I just deleted every thing & re-ripped the vob.'s and re-encoded. Only thing is, is that now the audio runs at the right speed, only about 1/2 a second behing the video, there are heaps of posts on that topic so I will look around for a solution to that.
