In DivX-Encoding i 've learned to set audio to joined-stereo while encoding to MP3.
All VCD/SVCD-Guides i `ve read tells me to set audio to 'stereo'.
Does joined-stereo not work in MP2 or what is the reason
(No, i havn't tried out, shall i :) ?)

if you destination audio is 128kbps and less i will suggest you to choose Join-Stereo but if your audio is more then 160 you can choose STEREO
if you want more information a lots of thread about this subjet on the forum.

Ah, very interesting. I guess the important message is this:

Tankx once more :)

Did anyone here ever try the different modes and listen to them for comparison? After all, the thing can be investigated with little efford, if the hardware exists.
