in gknot at 512x what ever it is for a 16x9 aspect the quality is only 20% but at 288ishx what ever it's good but it looks tiny that size. i was just wondering if they would look the same in full screen mode or if the smaller screen with a better percentage would look better?

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that the 20% you are referring to is the results of your compressability test?

If you are getting 20% at 512x??? then I would suggest increasing the number of discs for your movie. 288x??? is EXTREMELY small and you probably wont like the quality. Even if your screen size is 640x480, that's still more than doubling the video size when you expand it to watch it full screen. Of course, the sizing is a personal choice, but when I'm encoding I will generally shoot for ~60% without dropping my resolution below 512x???. This also seems to be the general consensus of most other users here.

(yes the 20% was the compressability test) damn, i wanted it on one cd but ya 288 is too small...
