I just finished coding my first DivX5 (502Pro) movie using GK (that is VirtualDub 1.4.10) and got some strange video output...
Just have a look:

Does anyone have an idea about what is wrong? I'm doing another movie to see if it's just this one that is messed up or if it's a general problem.

I used DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD (which is region free), Gordian Knot 0.26 and an updated LAME (v3.92). I also unzipped the latest VirtualDub to replace the one that came with GK, but it looks like it didn't work (it still says v1.4.10 in the titlebar).

It looks like you used "fast deinterlace" at release 0.26, which has a bug. Either do not use fast deinterlace, or install update 0.26.1.

Fast Deinterlace cuts the vertical resolution in half (using the VerticalReduceBy2 command). And the bug in 0.26 had it after the resizing command, if I remember correctly.

Which is exactly what I was doing... Thanks! (I coded a film after this with DeInterlace: None, and it was 100% fine)

That's strange... I had some problem with the 0.26 bug a some time ago before I upgraded to 0.26.1. But I never got a picture; VirtalDub just refused to open the .avs file
