Can't fit to much more in the title so it's to vague for my liking, but anyway here goes.

I have a known damaged AVI. During BeSweet conversion in DVD2SVCD using 1.5 I believe I get the error "can't rewind something something" twice, although I don't see it in the log.

Is this a big deal?
Will it cause any wierd problems?

I guess I will see for myself in a few hours, but I have never even heard of this error before.

More curious then anything else.

Thanks,
Mark

hi Mark !
this sounds like badly corrupted mp3 stream. if it happend more than only few times, your final track might be shorter.

in this case, you might wanna try your luck with MadPlay.

ps,
another proof why ppl should use error-protecion when encoding mp3 ;)

It only showed up twice and the first time was right at the first frame.

I checked the sync quickly and it seems fine.

The AVI did have a MP3 soundtrack, but I know for a fact there was one bad frame that I had to edit and work around just to get it to play at all. Luckily for me Swede helped on that part and it fixed the AVI to a workable point.

Thanks again,
Mark

Hmm, I guess to avoid things like this I'll use error protection on mp3...

I don't think error correction at that layer is going to help. The problem is elsewhere.
