I want to know how, once I have ripped a DVD complete to HD, do I create a decent menu for that DVD and then burn it ? The files are obviously a IFO and VOBs where all my authoring software need MPEGs. Nero would work but it doesn't let you do much with the menu. I have most DVD software but my prefered software is DVD Workshop but that will only allow MPEGs. Yes I could re-encode the vobs to a mpeg file but the vobs are pefect as they are, less then 4gb so it will all fit on a DVD-R.

Any advice ? Or will I have to re-encode it to MPEG2 ?

extract the .m2v and .ac3 using smart ripper and you can use basically any authoring program from there.
