View Full Version : Scenarist chapters cause a pause during playback

I normally don't worry about inserting chapters when I author a disc in Scenarist but I decided to do it for Star Wars Ep II.
I did exactly what the guide shows, I created about chapter points and then set the "Next PGC" and "Previous PGC" points. When I jump around on the disc (in my player), it seems to take longer than a normal chapter change. Also, while watching the movie the chapter change causes the player to seek for a second before continuing. It's not seemless. I haven't gone back to check the other movies I did but I'm pretty sure the chapter stops were always quick and seemless.

Any ideas?

im not familiar with scenarist, but it sounds like you set your chapter next command wrong;

in dvdmaestro you dont set it at all, and it will automatically play thru to the next one, i think its the same for scen.

I'll go back and check it. I'm pretty sure I did it the same way I always do. I may have to start using Maestro and see how that works.
Am I correct that all the additional chapters should be new PGC's under one title?

You doesn't need to put the pre and next command, scenarist make it for you for chapter in the same track.

Try it

Originally, I didn't put any previous and next pgc commands in but when I watched the movie in PowerDVD (after authoring), there was only 1 chapter. I couldn't access the others.
