Hi,

I'm about to encode some interlaced PAL material and wanted to play around with the various deinterlacing options first to see if it is worth the additional time/bitrate savings and decide which is best. I was reading the DVD2SVCD advanced reference which mentions several advanced settings for each of the deinterlacing options. However, it seems like I can set options only for SmartDeinterlace.

I'm using the latest 1.1.0b1 build with the 1.1.b1a update installed. Tried switching to advanced mode on the Misc. tab, still no change. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

There is not any deinterlacers in dvd2svcd with advanced settings beside smartdeinterlacer.

Thanks. OK, looks like the advanced reference needs some clean up then... Anyway, the addition of SeparateFields/SelectEven(Odd) would be very helpful.

I've just read http://www.mrbass.org/dvd2svcd/dvd2svcd_advref.html#conv and I _don't_ see what you mean. I see no reason for any clean up.

I'm talking about things like

SelectRangeEvery(clip,every,length[,offset])

VerticalReduceBy2 (PAL) (slows encoding speed by about 20%)
MotionMask
MotionMask(clip,mode,treshold[,denoise[,fast]])

Telecide(swap)
Telecide(swap,firstlast)
Telecide(swap,firstlast,postprocess)
Telecide(swap,firstlast,postprocess,threshold)
Telecide(swap,firstlast,postprocess,threshold,blend)
Telecide(swap,firstlast,postprocess,threshold,blend,debug)

described on this page. To me it looked like the options in () were supposed to be tweakable somewhere.
