I managed to backup one of my DVD-video's with subtitles and that was also the last time.

What I did was:

1: Do a backup of the entire DVD with Smartripper 2.41
2: Using smartripper in Movie mode I selected the backup files and Stream Processing...selected the main movie and audio with the subs i wanted. (Movie and Audio are muxed)
3: Used Subrip 1.13 to get the subs out of the backup files and saved them as bmp files and also the Maestro .son file.
4: Used ChapaterXtractor to get the chapters and saved that in a chapters.chp file
4: Imported assests in DvdMaestro (m2v and ac3 file)
5: Then want to import subtitles...but here is where it goed wrong...If i open the file with notepad then there are 641 bmp files...but when i import the .son file it says that only 209 files are inported as subs.

What am i doing wrong...I have gone though this a hundred times...maybe i am over looking something?????

Anyone have an idea???

TIA!

In addition to my first post I have found the following.... Why it starts with that particular file is because of a time thing...

Display_Area (000 000 719 573)
0432 00:58:18:15 00:58:22:07 ned00432.bmp
Display_Area (000 000 719 573)
0433 01:00:58:17 01:01:01:15 ned00433.bmp
Display_Area (000 000 719 573)
0434 01:01:01:19 01:01:04:22 ned00434.bmp

file 433 is the first file that has an hour digit in it....but when i compare the amount of digits in the Subrip .son file with the timeline in DVDMaestro then i can see a differance.

Can anybody help me out with this?

Well i seem to have found a solution to the DVDMAestro Subtitle import. Well its actually more a work arond.
In Subrip I just choose to Convert the subs to the STL format and that worked like a charm. All my subs are now imported.

What goes wrong with the .son file has something to do with TABS i am guessing. Because if i edit the file I see a sqaure were the TAB should be.

Can anyone qoute me on this?

sounds like your problem is the 1hr timecode setting in CCE?
