Do any players/codecs for Windows support this part of the MPEG4 spec yet?
I know Mplayer/Mencoder under Linux support it, since i started playing with it yesterday. ^_^
I've encoded a clip from the anamorphic 16:9 Grave of the Fireflies at 720x480, with the correct aspect ratio embedded into the stream. On playback Mplayer correctly scales it to 854x480, but so far the Windows users on my newsserver testing it have only had it playback at 720x480 and had to manually adjust the aspect ratio.
I like to include the correct codecs/players along with my rips and since i don't have any Windows machines i'd appreciate it if anyone could let me know whether there is a player for Windows that can do this automatically.
TIA
PS, anyone wanting the test clip, it's available here (http://www.hetherington.co.uk/files/video/grave_of_the_fireflies-clip4.avi).
