Newbie question about filters

I have been using dvd2svcd + tmpgenc to make svcd but I thought I should try cce to check out the speed difference

I have seen a lot of posts about filters but I simply can't work out how to use convolution 3d filter or any filter for that matter (yes I have read many posts and have no clue where to change the values people are quoting in brackets)

I know I will sound like an idiot for asking this so feel free to take a shot at me after you kindly answer the question

Read the readme.txt file in the DVD2SVCD directory and then read the Avisynth script database in the advanced forum.

Or for a one off try you need to edit the Avisynth file.

To do that you select edit avisynth in the frameserver tab.

For the specific syntax see the Avisynth forum or better yet find the homepage of the Avisynth filter in question.

DVD2SVCD can use most any Avisynth filter, but you need to learn how to use them. There are far to many filters for us to keep tabs on them here. That is why there is an Avisynth forum.

Trust me the information is there and well worth finding out for yourself. I learned so much when I was looking into one filter about the whole Avisynth world.

I don't use the filter in question so I am not able to specifically answer your question.

As a last resort you might want to search the Avisynth forum too.
