It works and it works very good for me. I just did Gladiator and Bad Company. I can't tell a difference from the original. All of that reading and some wise posts by fellow forum members has paid off. I have to say though I had to sift through alot of bad info to get there. I read many post complaining about the quality of rempeg but I beg to differ. I reencoded Gladiator at 61% I think and it looks very good.

That's great m8.
But the the real problem starts when you live in a country that has PAL as tv standard.
What some companies do, is to put their logo (Universal and Warner Bros) before the movie.
But here comes the trick, these logo's are PAL-Interlaced while the rest of the movie is PAL-Progressive (NON-Interlaced), example: Back To The Future Trilogy.
This messes up the transcode process from ReMpeg2 1.5.2. and there is not yet a fix for it.
Did a transcode of the Panic Room (85%) and it's great, also a transcode from The Negotiator, also is great.
But these are full interlaced (also the logo's) and therefore give no problems.
To prevent that I waste transcode time, I always check the vob's in DVD2AVI (pressing the play F5 key) and see if it stayes interlaced or progressive.

Can you please tell me how you get NEGOTIATOR on 4,37 GB?



I first stripped whole DVD with smart ripper and with IfoEdit I stipped out the logo and movie addons along with spanish synchronisation. Now my DVD is 4,78 GB.

I tryed to demux it with CCE (1 pass) exactly as DOOM9's tutorial says and I get a 1513 MB file. Then tryed ifoEdit again to demux and I got only 1800 MB of movie? REALLY bad quality.

Can any1 tell me what am I doing wrong?

here your answer tpo the logo problem :

1.The logo is sometimes the first chapter
Answer: decrypt the main movie with dvd decrypter in ifo mode and then uncheck the first chapter :D

2. the logo is sometimes in a diffrent vob id
answer stripp out that vob id
