I want to buy a dvd player and burner but this search for the perfect one is driving me bonkers butanyways what the hell is the difference between the Pioneer:

DVR-104
DVR-A04
DVR-105
DVR-A05

the faster you guys can help the faster I can get out there and buy one and if anyone has any suggestions for dvd players also let me know cuz i want to buy them at the same time... I'm looking at a JVC or a Pioneer I think sony is "jap" junk(no racism intended) and will never buy anything endorsed by sony.. anyways thanks ppl.

As far as I know and from what I could find on the web:

DVR-104 = DVR-A04 (104 = European and A04 = American? I think the different markings are for different DVD regions)
DVR-105 = DVR-A05 (same as above)

Now the main difference between the A04 and the A05 is speed. The A05 can write (dvd-r/dvd-rw/cd-r/cd-rw) at 4/2/16/8 while the same numbers for the A04 are 2/1/8/4. From what I've heard, the 105 is also a more mature drive in other ways as well. No first hand experience though, too expensive and not enough situations that would warrant it's use anyway.
