Hi,

I am using I-Author for muxing (this is the only way I can get subtitles on the CD Image). The problem is that instead of two CDs I get only one!

Can someone tell (or please give me a link to a similar) me what I am doing wrong?

I don't do subs, but I don't understand why you are using both I-Author and VCDXbuild.

It seems all the way past BBmpeg goes well and then it messes up at the I-Author part.

It seems to me if you are using I-Author to mux you should also be using it to create the images.

Maybe someone with more experience with subs can shed more light.

Some more details…

It seams that after muxing the first CD, DVD2SVCD Delete the files of all other CDs from the mux directory, and going directly to create the CD image for the first CD.

Before DVD2SVCD starts I-Author I can find:
bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpv
bbMPEG_Muxed_File01.mpv
bbMPEG_Muxed_File02.mpv
and all related audio files.

After the first CD successfully muxed only bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpv is on the mux folder.

It looks like this is a bug in DVD2SVCD when using this combination.

B.T.W. I am using this combination of I-Author and VCDXbuild because this is the only way I can get CD images that have subtitles on my standalone Player.

When using I-Author to create CD images, I get all CD images but in .cif format which I can not burn in NERO.

By this sentence it is obvious that you haven't read the Q+A or least in regards to this issue. Do it and your problem with be solved.

Mark, Thanx for the replay. Well I did read the Q&A about I-Author and .cif files and I know it is posible to convet .cif to .cue files using CDmage but this convertion damage the image and again... I do not have subs.

Well I tryed using I-Author as CD image creator but again I got only the first CD.

Thanx.

If you don't use the beta-version of CDmage which is mentioned in the Q&A, most likely your image will become bad.
Which version did you use?

rumba
18th November 2002, 16:59
I am using the Beta version of CDmage (which the only version that can read .cif)
But I think it's either DVD2SVCD or I-Author that deletes the files after muxing.

Is someone can look at the DVD2SVCD code and see if DVD2SVCD is responsible for the deletion? If it dose, it seams to be a simple fix…

markrb

I have used CD-Mage many times without issue and it has never been reported as an issue before unless you are not using the linked version in the Q+A.

I really don't think your combo of VCDXbuild and I-Author will work. It's meant to be one or the other, not both.

Make sure you have do not delete files checked on the Misc tab.

OK I got the problem !
The problem is with the "Don't Delete any files" check box in the misc tab! it must be checked !!! otherwise DVD2SVCD will delete files even it didn't peccess them at all.

Mark, I checked agin for the combo VCDXbuild and I-Author and it works great ! - Thanx agin.
