cut made a bigger file

When i wanted to make my mpeg-2 file smaller i used Tmpg to cut and merge.
The resulting file was actually larger!

Are you sure you're using the ritght template (type) under the "merge & Cut" tab? I may be that tmpgenc is padding the stream for compatability. Otherwise I suggest you try to learn how to use BBmpeg for those kind of operations ... I never really liked Mpegtools.
