I've just started using my A03 DVD Burner again, its been some time and I'm already having problems. On running above mentioned program I get an error in the Log file saying "Unable to initialise ASPI manager". Running ASPI Installation Verification I get the red screen but it says that "ASPI is properly installed, but one of the helper drivers has failed to initialise (0xE3)". I've tried rebooting but no good. I'm running WIN XP PRO ATHLON XP 2100+ 512Mb RAM, Pionerr A03 DVD burner and TEAC CD-W54E CD burner. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

sasmj:

Try downloading and installing Force Aspi. For precise instructions go to Ripping--the hard way, at www.doom9.org/ripping_the_hard_way. A search initialized with the keyword "ripping" would probably turn this up.

Hope this works for you. ammck55

I just clicked on the link above and think I have made a mistake. If so, could someone help us out here?

Yeah, on XP you should be using the default SPTI.
Other than that, it sounds like you've done something wrong as ASPI doesnt have a helper driver on XP. Perhaps you have an old version?
You should get Adaptec 4.72 or use the latest Nero one.
