Because of all these darn pointers and constants I have to maintain for the YV12 port of my smoother, I'm now getting a stack overflow. Is there a way of increasing it?

Place your data in dynamically allocated memory, rather than on the stack.

Place your data in dynamically allocated memory, rather than on the stack.
I was hoping to avoid this, since as you've noted before (in the only thread I found mentioning a stack overflow) it adds a little more complexity.
It would make sense to me that if because of YV12 we're tripling the number of pointers we need to maintain and at least doubling the number of constants, then the stack size should be increased.
What do you think? :)

I think if you're blowing out the stack you should allocate your data in dynamically allocated memory. :)
It is not at all difficult and many source code examples are readily available.
