Ok first off here is what I have CCE 2.62.01, TMPEG 2.51.33 and finally ReMpeg. I'm trying to do full DVD backups all extras included minus the extra audio and subtitle tracks. I can encode the complete movie fine and re-mux everything and get it all to work again, my problem is re-encoding the extras. It seems all these extras have some progressive, some interlaced material but all contained in a single vob. My questions is what settings for either CCE or TMPEG should be used, because the guides seem to be short in IVTC and things of that nature, e.g. in TMPEG if I do IVTC what should the encoding mode be 3:2 pulldown while playback, interlaced (which it defaults to most of the time) or inverse 3:2 pulldown. Or would it be easier with the 50/50 material that is progressive and interlaced all over the place to use ReMpeg and maybe use the lower resolutions to keep the quality without it going blocky. I know this is alot to ask but I've searched for a few weeks on this topic and have only seem to have gotten halfway with the info. Also my CCE does not like AVSynth hence why I need to use TMPEG for the IVTC since my CCE does not do that.
