When i tried the dvd play button on "The road to El Dorado" R2, Ifoedit crashed, even when played directly from dvd. The dvd plays fine with sw player. Also my Start button of W2k has black bars in it after i used the dvd play button in Ifoedit.
Is there someone that knows a solution for this problem

Yes, ripp it first!

IfoEdit doesn't decode encrypted DVDs.

I did ripp it, and i did some tests with other dvds and all worked with the dvd play of ifoedit without ripping them (played them immediately from dvd-rom)

some dvd's are encrypted and they won't play with IfoEdit (Disney), some are not encrypted (titles like "the others").

Do you have VOB Instant Write installed?... DVD play did not work anymore after I had installed this.

I'm having similar problems (my threads there somewhere) and I also had Instant DVD/CD installed. When I uninstalled it my two cd drives went with it. I had to remove stuff from the registry but I still cannot use Ifoedit Play. This is driving me nuts.

I removed InstantCD/DVD and DVD Play no longer works in IfoEdit. I will reinstall it, even though I just use Nero now. InstantCD/DVD started making $1.25 coasters for me after a few months of pretty stable use. When I initiated the burn process, it would state remaining data 0 mb and ruin the disc. Other times, after 3 or 4 discs in a row, suddenly it would say I needed 6+ gig of space when clearly I did not. Hopefully reinstalling and just letting it sit there will solve my problem.

Hi,
sorry about the delay in replying but I've been off line for a couple of weeks with the holidays etc. Did it work for you? I'm reluctant to put it back on because of the trouble it caused and think I may have to do a complete reinstall of my system.

I have posted this in other threads but there is a weird symbiosis with IfoEdit and Instant CD/DVD. I have reinstalled the later and now my Preview function in IfoEdit works again! Weird. Also, since I also installed WinDVD, I now get sound too. I still don't use Instant CD/DVD to write anymore. I just use Nero.
