"Illegal navigation" error....Is there a solution in the works?

I've used IfoEdit for quite some time now, and in most cases it works just great, but recently I have been nagged by the dreaded "Illegal navigation" error while splitting episodic discs. I can get around the error when splitiing a movie by just changing the first play PGC to "Jump to title x (usually 1)" on disc 2, but this trick doesn't work with the Startgate SG-1 series (R1). I can split the DVD between episodes with no trouble (3 episodes on disc 1 and 2 episodes on disc 2, each with their own PGC's, yet all PGC's are in one big .VOB set), and disc 1 always works perfectly, but I always get an "illegal navigation" on disc 2 no matter what version of IfoEdit I use (and I've tried about 10 different versions). Is there any solution on the horizon?

DVDSplit is supposed to fix this problem. It's a new program that Derrow is developing that is used only when you want to split DVD's. It's available to beta testers, I've downloaded it, but haven't tried it out yet.

I don't know when it will be publicly available.

But I am a donator and thus beta tester, so I already have DVDSplit, and it fares no better than any of the IfoEdit versions in this respect, or at least not yet. As a matter of fact, DVDSplit does not seem geared to split episodic DVD's at all, as it forces you to choose one PGC to split, and then copies all of the other PGC's into both newly created dirs, or it copies none of the other PGC's into either newly created dir, so all you end up with is one episode split between 2 DVD's, with either all or none of the other episodes accompanying the split episode. This method works great for splitting a movie, especially if the movie has multiple angles and such, but it doesn't help while trying to split an episodic DVD. Hopefully Derrow will be making this new utility more versatile in the future, but right now it is very limited in scope.
